Live where other people come to vacation and love where you work! New River Veterinary Specialists (NRVS) is a privately-owned ER/Specialty referral hospital, located in Hardeeville, SC. Hardeeville is located 12 miles from the beaches of Hilton Head Island, SC and 25 minutes from Savannah, GA.
New River Veterinary Specialists opened its doors in June of 2022. Our state of the art facility is a custom built 15,000-square foot with a full in-house lab, 16-slice helical CT, 1.5-Tesla MRI, fluoroscopy, interventional radiology suite, multiple ultrasounds, in house blood bank and component therapy, arthroscopy, laparoscopy, minimally invasive surgery, full service sports medicine and rehabilitation department and a dedicated intensive care unit including long-term mechanical ventilation.
The NRVS team currently includes 1 Internist, 1.5 Criticalists, 1 Surgeon (who is also Certified in Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine), 1 Neurologist, 11 Emergency doctors, a VTS-ECC, VTS-Anesthesia and an amazing team of technicians, assistants and CSR’s. We are also actively adding Cardiology, Ophthalmology, Oncology, Dermatology and Radiology to our service offerings.
NRVS is now actively hiring an Overnight Lead credentialed veterinary technician for Emergency, to join our amazing patient care team! We understand and know how valuable your time and skill sets are and we are proud to offer competitive salaries including a $5 shift differential for overnight shifts.
We are looking for individuals who are passionate about veterinary medicine, posses strong leadership and communication skills, hard-working, compassionate and empathetic with people as well as animals, reliable, organized, enjoy client communication and work well with our diverse team.
Working alongside Emergency doctors and Specialists in Emergency and Critical Care, Surgery, Rehabilitation, Neurology and Internal Medicine, our technicians expand their skill sets and knowledge every day. Join New River and work with doctors who love teaching, collaborating on cases while helping you gain new skills and knowledge during each shift.
Learn New Skills! All technicians will be **cross-trained in the other specialties** of the hospital which not only improves and develops your skill set but also allows you to be able to gain additional knowledge and training, while on the job!
Natural skills with small animals are a must, leadership skills, and outstanding communication skills with technician & client service teammates, doctors and clients. NRVS is looking for a Lead technician who is skilled at patient assessment and care, anesthesia, venipuncture, intravenous catheterization, medication administration & calculations, client communication, and maintenance of medical records. We are excited to train the right individuals who have the desire to learn advanced technical skills and medical knowledge.
Requirements are an LVT/CVT/RVT with minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency/specialty hospital and a minimum of 1 year of management and leadership experience.
