New River Veterinary Specialists is excited to announce that we will be opening our doors in Hardeeville, SC in May 2022. New River Veterinary Specialists is a newly built, 15,000 square foot state-of-the-art 24/7 emergency and specialty hospital including physical rehabilitation, surgery, critical care, internal medicine, and more.
We are now accepting applications for licensed or credentialed veterinary rehabilitation technicians for our Physical Rehabilitation Service. We are looking for an individual or individuals that are hard-working, compassionate with people as well as animals, dependable, organized, enjoy client communication, able to work independently as well as with our diverse team. This is an opportunity to develop and grow the Physical Rehabilitation Service, putting your personal flare and touches on the service, while working with a DACVS/DACVSMR and other specialists. Join New River and work with doctors who love teaching, discussing cases and helping you gain skills and knowledge – every single day. All technicians will be cross-trained in the other areas of the hospital which not only improves your skill set but also allows you to be able to gain additional knowledge and training, while on the job!
Our Physical Rehabilitation Service will offer underwater treadmill, laser therapy (class IV), therapeutic ultrasound, neuromuscular electrical stimulation, massage, thermal therapies, and therapeutic exercises. Additional modalities will be added as the service grows. Responsibilities will include subjective and objective patient assessment, rehabilitation plan development, application of therapies, client communication and education, and maintenance of medical records.
Hardeeville, SC is part of the Hilton Head – Bluffton – Beaufort metropolitan area with easy access to beaches and inland waterways for sunning, swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing, etc. You can explore numerous nature trails on foot or horseback. There are plenty of great restaurants, shops, and golf. In addition, you are just a short drive from beautiful historic Savannah, GA or the Savannah National Wildlife Refuge. Technicians should be CCRP or CCRVN with a minimum of 2 years of experience. Pending CCRP or CCRVN completion or CCRA will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
