New River Veterinary Specialists is seeking an additional Surgeon at our privately owned 24-hour Specialty & Emergency/Critical Care facility located 11 miles from Hilton Head Island on the southern coast of South Carolina.

The NRVS medical team currently includes 1 Surgeon/Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine, 1 Internist, 2.5 Criticalists, 11 Emergency doctors, a VTS-ECC, a part-time VTS-Anesthesia, and an amazing team of licensed technicians, technicians with years of experience, and assistants. We are also actively recruiting for other specialties to join our hospital.
Our newly constructed state-of-the-art practice opened in June 2022, is equipped with all of the bells and whistles one needs to practice excellent surgery and medicine, including an Arthrex arthroscopy tower, laparoscopy/thoracoscopy, ForceTriad, interventional radiology suite with GE fluoroscopy unit, GE 16-slice CT, Siemens 1.5 T MRI, and a full-service sports medicine and rehabilitation department. In addition, you are supported with full in-house IDEXX labs, full in-house blood bank and component therapy, 2 high-quality GE ultrasound units with in-house ultrasounds performed by Internal Medicine and Critical Care, Sound DR, a full range of Storz and Olympus cystoscopy and endoscopy equipment, Holmium laser, USP-800 compliant chemotherapy suite, and a dedicated intensive care unit including Puritan Bennet long-term mechanical ventilation, high flow oxygen therapy & much more. We have a $225k base salary with 25% production and no negative accrual. Four, 10 hour shifts and our benefits package includes CE, organizational dues/licenses, health & dental insurance, supplemental insurance, 401K with 4% match, PTO, paid sick time and pet insurance allowance.
